Pressure Casting
Pressure casting, also known as low pressure casting or pressure casting, is another form of permanent casting. Pressure casting does not pour molten metal into the casting and forces gravity into a force that distributes the liquid material through the mold, but instead uses air pressure to force the metal through the gate system and the cavity of the metal casting. This process can be used to cast high quality manufactured parts. Typically, steel castings are cast into graphite molds using this process. For example, in the industry, steel railway wheels are cast in this way.
